How Chibis Indoor Playground in Ashburn, VA Began
CLICK HERE FOR OUR LATEST UPDATE! Owned and operated by Loudoun County parents Tiffany and Joe Burfield, Chibis Indoor Playground is the perfect haven for children and parents alike. Tiffany, Joe and their two children moved to Western Loudoun County in 2007. When the first rainy day came along, they found that there was nowhere for their kids to burn off some energy. What they needed was a large, air-conditioned, open space filled with toys and activities to challenge little bodies and minds, regardless of the weather. Once they realized that such a place simply did not exist, they decided to create one…and Chibis was born! A Bit About the Name
The word "chibi" is Japanese and loosely translates to mean "small person". A chibi in Japanese animation is similar to a caricature in American art. The Burfields' daughter is an aspiring artist with a particular interest in Manga. She came up with the name and we agreed that it was a perfect fit!
